East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking a Direct Payment Worker to support a 15-year-old boy in Cottingham with ADHD, attachment and trauma-related needs. The role focuses on companionship, socialisation and helping him access activities within the community.
The successful candidate will accompany him to social events, help with daily tasks, and build a trusting, patient relationship. DBS clearance is required and you must have a car for transport.

The individual is a male 15 years old and resides in Cottingham. He is a loving and caring young man and wants to find someone who can and will interact with him, help him with his socialisation and just sit and talk to him. He finds it very hard at times to make friends and after long discussions about this he is excited to meet the person who will become his PA.They require a dedicated and suitable person to support them due to their ADHD, attachment and trauma-related needs, and episodes of anxiety

Children and Young People, Specialist Services Direct Payments is an in-house service provided by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council to support families of Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to fulfil their potential and aspirations.
Whilst caring experience is always useful, you don’t necessarily need to have worked in care to be a great Direct Payment Worker, the right attitude and a person-centred approach is more important.
Some travel across East Riding of Yorkshire may be required, applicants must be able to transport themselves.
