Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a Digital Trainer to join the Digital Training & Engagement team. You will design and deliver training courses to ensure all staff are efficient and effective users of the Trust's clinical and business digital systems.

The role requires a proven track record in training development and delivery to staff at all levels, and the ability to develop high quality training materials to support the Trust's digital journey.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent with training delivery experience.
• Knowledge of the provision of health services; understanding NHS clinical workflows.
• Experience in course development, planning and delivery within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience with digital/IT clinical systems change or project management.

Responsibilities

• Educate staff to effectively use new technology in a rapidly changing environment.
• Promote positive attitude towards digital change and data collection across the organisation.
• Train staff on existing clinical systems and national IT programmes.
• Coordinate end-user training for system implementations within agreed project timescales.
• Identify training needs for each job role and tailor lesson plans accordingly.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our busy Team as a Digital Trainer. In this role you will be responsible for creating and delivering training courses to ensure all staff are efficient and effective in using the systems required for their job roles. This is a very exciting time for our team as we support the Trust on the Digital Journey

You should have a proven track record in training development and delivery to staff of all levels and have the ability to develop good quality training materials.

To deliver training courses to ensure all UHL Hospital staff are efficient and effective users of the Trust's clinical and business Digital systems. Also, through effective education, training and development to support the Trust with Information Governance and help it to meet its targets within the national guidelines and strategies.

Job responsibilities

Educate staff to effectively use new technology that may significantly alter existing roles in a rapidly changing environment.

Promote a positive attitude towards digital change, information use and the collection of data across the organisation.

Support the smooth transfer and expansion of existing digital skills to meet new requirements.

Train staff at all levels on existing clinical systems and new systems introduced by the Trust or national programmes.

Maintain a thorough understanding of clinical information systems and related working processes across the Trust.

Provide training, support and guidance on Microsoft Office products.

Co-ordinate effective end-user training for national and local IT system implementations within agreed project timescales.

Identify training needs for each job role and tailor lesson plans accordingly.

Assist in the design and delivery of high-quality digital training for Trust staff,

Person Specification

IT Literacy

• High level of proficiency in the use of IT tools, particularly Microsoft Office. Advanced keyboard skills

Training Qualifications

• Educated to degree level education or equivalent level or equivalent experience delivering training services. Recognised learning and development qualification
• Knowledge of the provision of health services. Demonstrable understanding of clinical workflows relevant to EPR in NHS setting.

Communication Skills

• Must have a methodical, disciplined approach to working practices. Have knowledge of and be able to communicate effectively on complex operational requirements for training delivery
• Must be able to demonstrate both formal and informal communication ability, orally and in writing, when dealing with colleagues and other staff at all levels

Experience

• Must demonstrate experience in course development, planning and delivery, contributing to the success of a multi-disciplinary team as effective team member, contributing to the development of policies and procedures and of developing and executing testing plans.
• Experience of digital/IT clinical systems change/project management
