Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust seeks a Digital Project Manager to run digital projects on behalf of the Project Board, ensuring workstreams align with board constraints and programme objectives.

The role requires planning, resourcing and deployment, with interface to clinical systems, using recognised tools like PRINCE2 to deliver on time and within budget. It supports business case benefits and strategic aims.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience of managing staff and multiple complex projects in Health Informatics.

Responsibilities

• Produce and revise Detailed Implementation Plans covering project timeframes and go-live planning.
• Work closely with Project Executives to manage projects effectively.
• Plan and allocate resources to projects across departments and organisations.
• Critically evaluate the quality of project plans and organisational capability to achieve outcomes.
• Manage dependencies and interfaces between programmes/projects.
• Monitor progress day-to-day and take corrective action, including escalation.
• Identify and mitigate project risks with a comprehensive risk log.
• Manage identified issues within project risks with owners and action plans.
