The Digital Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of Digital projects under their management on behalf of the relevant Project Board and within the constraints laid down by the board. The Digital Project Manager is responsible for the ensuring that appropriate planning, resourcing and deployment activities are undertaken to ensure safe and timely implementation of relevant projects within the Trust's Head of Digital Developments Programme to support the Trust's strategic objectives. This will include the management of projects that facilitate full interfacing/integration with existing clinical systems and/or the replacement of these systems where appropriate. The post holder will use recognised project management tools and techniques e.g. PRINCE2 to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to budget with expected outcomes monitored and achieved. The use of detailed implementation plans and other associated project products e.g. workstream checkpoint reports, risks and issues logs, will be required to aide this. The Project Manager's prime responsibility is to ensure that projects meet the requirements of the clinical services, to the necessary standards of quality, and within the specified constraints of time and cost. The Digital Project Manager is also responsible for the project achieving the benefits defined in the business case.Main duties of the job 1.Produce and revise all project documentation including Detailed Implementation Plans(DIP) that cover the overall timeframe of relevant projects within the programme;addressing specific periods of key activities (e.g. go live planning). 2.Work closely with Project Executives to manage projects effectively. 3.Plan and allocate resources to projects, from both within and outside the project team.This will require cross-departmental working and negotiation across various departments and organisations. 4.Critically evaluate the quality of project plans and the organisational capability and capacity to achieve the planned outcomes. 5.Manage both the dependencies and the interfaces between other programmes/projects. 6.Monitor overall progress of projects on a day-to-day basis, resolving issues and initiating decisive and corrective action, including escalation, as appropriate. 7.Identify and mitigate any project risks ensuring that the minimum number of risks become issues, to include the provision of a comprehensive Risk log. 8.Manage identified issues within the project risks ensuring that each issue has an owner and corrective action is being undertaken, to include the provision of a comprehensive issue log.
