Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Digital Production Manager to join our printing team. This role is crucial to the smooth running of our production department, which includes digital printing, offset printing, and finishing processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire production cycle, ensuring high-quality output, maintaining production timelines, and providing hands-on technical support when needed.

This is an onsite position, and the candidate must have practical experience in a printing environment, with a good understanding of printing machines, production workflows, and quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, and monitor all stages of printing production including pre-press, printing, and finishing.
• Oversee both digital printing machines and offset printing presses.
• Check files and proofs before printing to ensure they meet technical and visual standards.
• Ensure proper setup and operation of printing machines by coordinating with machine operators.
• Maintain a clear production schedule, allocate tasks efficiently, and ensure timely delivery of all jobs.
• Implement and enforce quality control checks at various stages to ensure output meets client expectations.
• Identify and troubleshoot printing issues promptly and coordinate technical maintenance when needed.
• Work closely with the design/prepress, sales, and customer service teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Manage inventory of raw materials like paper, ink, and consumables, and place orders when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Train and support junior staff or machine operators as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the printing industry.
• Strong knowledge of digital printing and offset printing processes.
• Basic technical knowledge of printing machine operation and routine troubleshooting.
• Understanding of color calibration, resolution, bleed, margins, and other technical details.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Good communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects at once.
• Familiarity with basic design software (Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign) is an advantage.

Preferred Attributes:

• Hands-on experience working with digital and offset printing machines.
• Experience in finishing processes such as cutting, binding, lamination, etc.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to be flexible with working hours to meet tight deadlines when required.
