Job summary

National Grid plc is seeking a Digital Product Owner in Warwick with hybrid working options. You will own the product backlog, define the release roadmap and work across networks to design, optimise and manage electricity transmission applications in England and Wales.

You will engage with stakeholders, ensure delivery across the full lifecycle, and drive adoption, continuous improvement and clear communications with suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field such as business, engineering, information systems or computer science.
• Experience owning or supporting a business application, software product or digital service through its lifecycle.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Analytical mindset with a strong interest in systems, business process and user‑centred design.

Responsibilities

• Own the product backlog and release roadmap, balancing new features, defects and technical debt against value and user impact.
• Write user stories and acceptance criteria and prioritise features, defects and debt.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and coordinate testing, readiness and feedback loops.
• Contribute to release notes, user guidance and stakeholder communications.
• Work with architects, engineers and testers to ensure requirements are delivered as intended.
• Assess value, risk and impact to support prioritisation and live service performance.
