Job summary

Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Digital Medicines Technician to support, maintain and optimise EPMA and related systems. You will contribute to safety and care, oversee IT-enabled pharmacy processes, and work with the Digital Medicines team to advance trust-wide digital priorities.

You will develop relationships with provider trusts, provide staff training, and contribute to business continuity planning, SOPs, and quality guidelines.

Qualifications

• BTEC/NVQ3 in Pharmacy or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist expertise within pharmacy regarding IT systems and act as a liaison between pharmacy and DTI.
• Collaborate with other departments, trusts and providers to support and develop the digital pharmacy workforce.
• Attend all mandatory training including GDP training where applicable.
• Read, understand and follow SOPs relevant to the role.
• Maintain competencies and assessments; ensure CPD.
• Work independently in dispensing and supply of medicines, using ACT status where applicable.
• Maintain ACT and professional registrations as needed; participate in training and development activities.
• Undertake audits/research led by Pharmacists and take part in weekend/Bank Holiday rotas.
