Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician Specialist to join the Medicines Management Pharmacy Services (MMPS) Digital team. The role blends specialist digital responsibilities with operational pharmacy practice, staff leadership and service improvement, supporting the WYAAT Pharmacy Manufacturing Hub from a digital, technical and reporting perspective.

You will help ensure safe use of clinical systems such as JAC, ChemoCare and MedChart, oversee stock

Qualifications

Hold a BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or an equivalent qualification.
Be registered, or eligible to register, as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Have extensive post-registration experience, including experience within hospital pharmacy or an equivalent relevant setting.
Have a strong understanding of medicines stock control.
Have extensive experience of working in preparative pharmacy services.

Responsibilities

Manage and develop the daily delivery of a specialist technical service within the Pharmacy IT team.
Maintain Pharmacy IT systems including JAC, ChemoCare and MedChart.
Perform medicine supply functions with accuracy checking and stock control management.
Lead as Lead Technician during evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
Map, develop, create and share digital reports using SSRS, Excel and Power BI.
Support and lead staff development and recruitment within the team.
