Job summary

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the ePMA team during a digital transformation, gaining expertise in electronic prescribing and supporting the transition to fully digital processes across the Trust.

You will work with pharmacy, clinical, digital and research colleagues to ensure safe medicine management and provide training and ACPT support, with occasional weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills (QCF) or equivalent.
• Mandatory CPD as defined by the GPhC.
• ACPT or recognised accredited pharmacy technician checking qualification.
• Experience of working in a UK hospital pharmacy and knowledge of ePMA systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation, maintenance and development of ePMA across the Trust.
• Support configuration, development and testing of ePMA systems.
• Train and support all staff involved with ePMA including pharmacy staff, prescribers and nurses.
• Promote benefits of ePMA and ensure safe, effective rollout.
• Provide ePMA support per rota, including early, late and weekend shifts.
• Act as ACPT within the dispensary.
