Job summary

The University of Reading is seeking a Digital Business Systems Administrator to support the Estates Directorate with CAFM software (Concerto), SharePoint and related Microsoft products. The role will ensure smooth day-to-day operation of business systems and provide stakeholder assistance from Whiteknights Campus.

You will work on SQL database maintenance, data integrity and system improvements, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary Estates team.

Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining and developing SQL databases.
  • Experience troubleshooting problems for stakeholders in digital business systems.
  • Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences; experience with CAFM software, SharePoint and Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure day-to-day smooth running of all business systems utilised by the Estates Directorate.
  • Support CAFM software (Concerto), SharePoint and related Microsoft products.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve stakeholder issues across digital business systems.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of SQL databases and data integrity.

The Digital Business Systems Administrator role within the Estates Directorate supports the development of the University’s computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) software, known as Concerto. The role holder will ensure the day-to-day smooth running of all business systems utilised by the Estates Directorate; this includes, but is not limited to, computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) software, SharePoint, specialist software utilised by teams within Estates, and a range of Microsoft products.

You will have:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to explain technical issues in a manner that is appropriate to the audience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, taking responsibility for a specific area of work
  • Knowledge of maintaining and developing SQL databases
  • Understanding of the principles of database management
  • Knowledge of SharePoint Online
  • Relevant experience and understanding of troubleshooting problems for stakeholders in digital business systems
