Job Description:

Central Employment is working exclusively with an award-winning Web Development Agency in the North East, recruiting a results-driven and proven Digital Business Development Manager.

  • FT Office-based role in Newcastle, collaborating with a team of 50+ technical and creative professionals.
  • Salary up to £46,000 DOE + benefits

Digital BDM profile:

You should have a good grasp of the tech/digital sector and enjoy working with potential clients to analyze their needs, formulate, and articulate development solutions that address real-world challenges or enable new opportunities.

Digital BDM role:

  • The role involves direct pre-sale client engagement, proposal writing, presenting, and producing marketing and sales materials to generate new leads. We seek a strategist, an exceptional communicator, and a confident writer capable of orchestrating campaigns that resonate with clients and markets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with potential and established clients. Responsible for both outbound and inbound business generation through proactive targeting of future clients and growing incoming leads.
  • Understand digital opportunities and communicate the agency's strengths and services, employing sales and marketing strategies to stand out in a competitive market.
  • Undertake tender evaluation and bid writing, including public sector procurement—analyze requirements, identify solutions, and create persuasive content that helps bids stand out.

Experience required:

  • Proven successful business development experience, ideally in the tech/digital sector
  • Strong understanding of digital solutions and ability to articulate value to diverse audiences
  • Excellent written skills for captivating proposals and tender responses
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Understanding of online marketing and social media strategy
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills for representing the agency at clients, events, or networking opportunities
