Job description

Are you an account manager at a digital or creative agency who loves websites and the strategy behind them? This is a chance to join a well-established, award-winning agency that has been building brands and websites for over 20 years,

The company

My client is a friendly, close-knit creative digital agency, with offices in central London. They create brand stories, visual identities and websites across a range of sectors. Once a new website launches, their client team takes over the relationship, making sure each site meets its goals and keeps improving over time.

The role

You’ll manage your own portfolio of clients after their website goes live, acting as their main point of contact and strategic advisor. For some clients, that means looking after maintenance and support. For others, you’ll become an extension of their in-house marketing team.

Day to day you will:

  • Be the main contact for your clients by email, phone and video call, building long-term relationships
  • Get to know each client’s wider marketing goals, and suggest and pitch services such as SEO, digital marketing, email newsletters, print and branding
  • Run monthly WordPress and plugin updates, and report on website performance to clients and internally
  • Proactively find ways to improve the performance of the sites you manage
  • Brief and work closely with the in-house design and development teams to deliver smaller projects on time
What you’ll bring
  • Experience in account management or client services at a digital, web or creative agency (or a digital marketing role with lots of client contact)
  • Excellent written communication, with strong grammar, spelling and attention to detail
  • Confidence speaking with clients, and the ability to listen, ask the right questions and interpret a brief
  • A good understanding of how websites fit into a wider marketing strategy
  • The ability to juggle several clients and tasks and prioritise well
  • A positive, curious attitude and a genuine interest in creativity and technology

You’ll also have at least two of the following:

  • Technical knowledge of how websites work, including hosting, domains and content management systems (WordPress ideal)
  • Solid SEO knowledge, including improving a site’s rankings and tracking results
  • Confidence using and reporting on Google Analytics or similar tracking tools
  • Experience delivering digital campaigns such as PPC, paid social or email marketing
