Job summary

University of Roehampton invites applications for the Digital Academy Lead to develop and deliver the institution’s digital capability, AI literacy and technology enablement for staff and students. The post leads the creation of a University-wide Digital Academy that supports the effective adoption of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, data skills and modern ways of working.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional qualification in learning and development, education or related field.
• Evidence of continuing professional development in digital skills, AI, learning tech or organisational change.

Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate the development of the Digital Academy, including structured learning opportunities for staff and students in digital skills, AI, data literacy and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to digital capability frameworks identifying skills, behaviours and competencies for staff and students.
• Lead AI literacy adoption and promote responsible AI use across the University.
• Enhance Student Employability by integrating digital and AI skills into employability activity.
• Incorporate digital and AI skills into student learning experiences and staff development programmes.
• Develop and deliver staff digital development programmes, including workshops and resources.
• Establish communities of practice and networks for knowledge sharing.
• Create and curate engaging digital learning content and self-service materials.
• Measure digital capability outcomes and report on learning participation and impact.
• Promote responsible and ethical technology use and digital inclusion across activities.
• Undertake other duties commensurate with seniority.
