Job summary

Abbott in the Midlands is seeking a Technical Service Specialist to support customers through installations, deinstallations, repairs and software upgrades. You will train customers and Abbott ambassadors, perform PM activities, site inspections, and IQOQ procedures to ensure smooth deployments.

The role requires aBachelor’s degree or equivalent and a proven track record with customers and lab staff, plus strong communication and coaching skills.

• Proven track record in a similar position.
• Successful engagement with customers and lab staff.
• Excellent product and industry knowledge.
• Experience with service delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform planned maintenance (PM) activities.
• Perform site inspections for new contracts/tenders and design for installations.
• Install/assist with instruments, AbbottLink, automation, and deinstallations.
• Perform IQOQ procedures during and after installation.
• Assist with customer business reviews.
• Schedule and document hardware/software updates (TSBs).
• Deliver basic customer operator trainings post install/upgrade.
• Provide coaching/training to other Technical Service Specialists.
