Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is recruiting for a Diagnostic/Master Technician at a busy premium franchise-approved dealership in the Brislington area, near Bristol. You will carry out advanced diagnostics and repairs, support the workshop team and help ensure every vehicle leaves the workshop performing at its best.

You must hold IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, have a UK driving licence, and demonstrate leadership and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Strong track record in diagnostics and technical work in a busy main dealership.
• UK driving licence required.

Job description

Our client, a large multi-franchise car dealer group established across Southwest England, is currently looking to hire a Diagnostic/Master Technician for their busy premium franchise-approved dealership in the Brislington, Bristol region.

• Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum, pending experience/franchise qualifications, plus a monthly performance-related bonus (roughly £4-6,000 per annum).
• Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm.

Reporting to the Workshop Controller and working with a large team, as a Diagnostic/Master Technician, you'll carry out advanced diagnostics and repairs with accuracy and efficiency, using your expertise to maintain the highest standards. You'll support and guide the workshop team, sharing technical knowledge, guiding other technicians, and helping to resolve complex issues. A key part of your role will be delivering an exceptional experience for our clients' customers, ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop performing at its best. You'll also play an important part in maintaining safety, quality and overall workshop performance.

To be eligible, you need to be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair and ideally have a strong track record in diagnostics and technical work, having been trained to a similar Diagnostic/Master Technician level. You will need to hold a UK driving licence, be a committed individual, have leadership qualities, and be a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy main dealership environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team.
