Perfect Placement UK Ltd in Northampton is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join a prestigious main dealership. You'll diagnose and repair complex faults, using manufacturer diagnostic tools, and work within a professional environment.

This role offers a competitive salary (£35,000–£42,000) with a bonus scheme, Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm, and opportunities for training and career progression in a well-respected workshop.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs in a main dealership.
• Diagnostic certification or equivalent is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and technical faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
• Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Mentor junior technicians and share technical expertise.
• Coordinate with Service Department to ensure workflow efficiency and high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain electronic service records.
• Keep workshop clean, safe, and compliant with company policies.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship with attention to detail.
• Contribute to team performance and workshop efficiency.

Duties

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and technical faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment
• Perform high-level servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards
• Support and mentor junior technicians, sharing technical expertise as theDiagnostic Vehicle Technician
• Liaise effectively with the Service Department to ensure workflow efficiency and high customer satisfaction
• Maintain accurate electronic service records as theDiagnostic Vehicle Technician
• Ensure workshop cleanliness, safety, and adherence to company policies
• Complete all work to high standards with careful attention to detail
• Contribute to team performance and overall workshop efficiency

Requirements
