Job summary

JINGDONG Logistics is seeking a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA) to oversee regulatory compliance for transport, storage and handling of dangerous goods across its Bedford logistics network. The role focuses on lithium battery safety, critical audits and staff training to promote best practices.

Reporting to the Health and Safety Director, you will develop safe systems of work, ensure ADR compliance, and drive continuous improvement across multiple sites while maintaining robust

Qualifications

• DGSA certification is essential and must be held for road transport.
• Strong knowledge of ADR and dangerous goods regulations.
• Experience managing lithium battery storage, handling and transport.
• Experience conducting DG audits and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the appointed DGSA for the organisation.
• Provide guidance on classification, packaging, labelling and transport of dangerous goods.
• Develop safe systems of work for lithium battery storage in warehouses.
• Conduct DG risk assessments across distribution centres and transport ops.
• Lead DG incidents investigations and ensure regulatory reporting.
• Deliver DG training programmes to staff and managers.
