Job summary

Irwin and Colton in Bedfordshire is seeking a Dangerous Goods Safety Manager to oversee ADR compliance across our logistics operations. You will act as the appointed DGSA, guiding classification, packaging and transport of dangerous goods, with a focus on lithium batteries.

You will develop safe systems of work, conduct risk assessments, and deliver training to the operational teams, helping us maintain the highest safety standards while ensuring regulatory excellence.

Qualifications

• DGSA certification and ADR/regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Act as the organisation's Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA), ensuring full compliance with ADR regulations.
• Provide expert guidance on the classification, packaging, labelling, and transportation of dangerous goods.
• Develop and implement safe systems of work for lithium battery storage, handling, and transport.
• Deliver training programmes to operational teams on dangerous goods safety and emergency procedures.
