Job summary

JINGDONG Logistics (JD Logistics) in Bedford seeks a qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser to ensure the compliant transport, storage and handling of dangerous goods across its distribution network.

You will provide expert guidance on lithium battery safety, lead audits, develop safe systems of work, and collaborate with the Health & Safety team to maintain regulatory excellence in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• DGSA certification required.
• Strong knowledge of ADR and related transport regs.
• Experience managing dangerous goods compliance in logistics environments.
• Proven ability to perform risk assessments for lithium battery storage and transport.
• Experience leading DG investigations and audits.

Responsibilities

• Act as the appointed Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser for the organisation.
• Ensure compliance with dangerous goods transport regulations including ADR.
• Provide specialist guidance on classification, packaging, labelling and transport of dangerous goods.
• Develop safe systems of work for lithium battery storage within warehouses.
• Lead DGSA audits, investigations, and regulatory reporting.
