Job summary

Tesco Mobile is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join the DevSecOps Squad and advance cloud platform capabilities across AWS, Azure and private clouds. You will drive automation, IaC adoption and secure, reliable platform design while collaborating with engineering, architecture and cyber security teams.

You will influence system design, review proposals, and mentor colleagues, supporting and administering cloud platforms and central tooling like GitHub and Splunk in a blended office/remote

Qualifications

• Strong experience in cloud platform engineering with AWS, Azure or both.
• Experience designing, implementing and supporting cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform.
• Strong understanding of cyber security principles and secure platform design.
• Experience with automation, observability and site reliability engineering practices.
• Ability to influence technical decisions and collaborate across multiple teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in agile engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical leadership within the DevSecOps squad.
• Maintaining cloud platforms to high standards of reliability, security and recoverability.
• Influencing systems design decisions and reviewing technical proposals.
• Driving continuous improvements in DevSecOps processes and tooling.
• Working with Cyber Security and other stakeholders to implement security enhancements.
• Championing platform automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), observability and engineering excellence.
• Collaborating with software engineers, architects, security specialists and product teams.
• Promoting self-service capabilities and automation solutions.
• Balancing strategic thinking with hands-on technical delivery.
• Mentoring and supporting colleagues where required.
• Supporting and administering cloud platforms and central developer tooling, including GitHub and Splunk.
