Job summary

Tesco? Tesco is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to act as a SME between Technology Security and Cloud Platform Engineering for our large Azure estate.

You’ll design and implement security initiatives, translate Azure concepts for non-experts and support security goals across the business. Join a team that balances collaboration across offices and remote work, with a strong focus on Azure security best practices and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Azure best practices and working with teams.
• Experience with Azure CLI, PowerShell or Azure Graph REST API.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior Azure architecture or engineer role.
• Ability to operate independently with limited support.

Responsibilities

• Managing Azure Policy direction and supporting exemptions.
• Design, review and delivery of upcoming Azure Policies.
• Assess exemptions impact at team, environment or global scope.
• Act as SME advisor; assess impact of upcoming Azure security initiatives.
• Deliver centralised controls or reduce friction of consuming infra.
• Provide security architecture advice to key business functions.
• Collaborate with Cloud Platform Engineering and Infrastructure Architects on security deliverables.
