Job summary

Loop Recruitment is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Manchester with 3+ years of experience to manage and optimise a mature Azure-first platform. The role focuses on CI/CD, IaC, containerisation, and secure, scalable deployments.

You'll work in a hybrid setup (3 days in office / 2 days WFH) within IT & Infrastructure, contributing to blue/green, canary and rolling release strategies while improving observability and incident response as the team grows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Strong CI/CD experience with hands-on Azure tooling.
• Solid grounding in Infrastructure as Code and containerisation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps tooling.
• Automate build, test and deployment processes to improve velocity and reliability.
• Work with IaC using Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates to manage cloud infrastructure.
• Deploy and support applications on Azure App Services, Function Apps and other Azure services.
• Implement deployment strategies such as blue/green, canary and rolling releases.
• Monitor and observability using Azure Monitor, Application Insights and Log Analytics.
• Apply security best practices across pipelines, source control and cloud infrastructure.

Location: Manchester City Centre (Hybrid — 3 days in office / 2 days WFH)

I'm currently looking for: DevOps Engineer (Azure, CI/CD, Terraform/Bicep, Docker)

Our client is an established SaaS business with a mature, Azure-first platform supporting their development and production environments. They're growing their engineering function and looking to bring in a DevOps Engineer to help manage and optimise their cloud environment.

This role sits within the IT & Infrastructure function, reporting into the IT & Infrastructure Director, and is a new headcount created through growth and demand.

You'll get exposure across the full DevOps lifecycle, working on:

• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation using Azure DevOps tooling
• Automating build, test and deployment processes to improve velocity and reliability
• Integrating code quality, security and testing tools (e.g. SonarCloud, Snyk, WhiteSource)
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates
• Deploying and supporting applications across Azure App Services, Function Apps and other Azure services
• Deployment strategies including blue/green, canary and rolling releases
• Observability and monitoring with Azure Monitor, Application Insights and Log Analytics
• Security best practices across pipelines, source control and cloud infrastructure

You don't need to be an expert across everything.

We're looking for someone with 3+ years' experience as a DevOps Engineer, strong CI/CD experience and solid grounding in Infrastructure as Code and containerisation (Docker).
