Job summary

Planet Pharma is seeking an experienced HR professional to join its on-site team in Devon. This broad, hands-on role supports employees and managers across a busy manufacturing environment, delivering practical guidance and resolving complex employee matters.

The successful candidate will help develop local people processes, interpret policy and employment law, and collaborate with line managers and trade unions to drive continuous improvement on site.

Qualifications

• Broad generalist HR experience in manufacturing or regulated environments.
• Experience supporting an operational or site-based workforce.
• Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience working with trade unions or in unionised environments.
• Confidence handling sensitive and complex employee relations cases.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Practical, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers.
• Manage employee relations matters, including absence, performance, conduct and grievance cases.
• Support organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Interpret and apply company policies, employment legislation and collective agreements.
• Work constructively with employee representatives and trade unions.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and employee development.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and the overall employee experience.
• Build trusted relationships across the site and wider organisation.
• Contribute to projects and responsibilities beyond the immediate remit of the role.
