Job summary

Well Placed HR is recruiting a Site HR Manager for a busy manufacturing site in Truro, working 2-3 days per week. You will own the full HR remit on site, partnering with managers and employees on recruitment, ER, performance, training and compliance.

The role requires CIPD qualification or progress, with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will work with site leadership and the wider HR team, ensuring policies meet UK employment law.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD qualification.
• Broad HR generalist experience, ideally standalone or site-based role.
• Experience in manufacturing/engineering/automotive or similar fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive generalist HR service at site level.
• Manage recruitment across operational and salaried roles, from advert to offers.
• Coordinate onboarding, inductions and training.
• Support managers with employee relations, investigations, absence, performance and disciplinary processes.
• Maintain accurate confidential employee records and ensure compliance.
• Support performance management processes and development activity.
• Coordinate training and development programmes site-wide.
• Implement company-wide HR initiatives, policies and procedures.
• Provide HR reporting and key people metrics to support decisions.
