Job summary

Planet Pharma in Devon is seeking an experienced HR professional to join its on-site team. This broad, hands-on role supports employees and managers across a busy manufacturing environment, providing practical guidance and resolving complex employee matters.

You will interpret and apply policies, work with trade unions, support recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning, and contribute to the development of local people processes.

Qualifications

• Broad generalist HR experience in regulated environments.
• Experience supporting a site-based manufacturing, engineering, or pharmaceutical workforce.
• Knowledge of UK employment law and best HR practice.
• Experience working with trade unions or in a unionised setting.
• Ability to manage sensitive and complex employee relations cases.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers.
• Manage employee relations including absence, performance, conduct, and grievances.
• Support organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Interpret and apply company policies and employment legislation.
• Collaborate with employee representatives and trade unions.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning and development.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experience.
• Build trusted relationships across the site and organisation.
• Contribute to wider projects beyond the role's remit.
