Job summary

Specialist Risk Group (SRG) is seeking a Development Underwriter within MX Underwriting to drive profitable growth by developing broker partnerships and underwriting commercial risks across the Property & Casualty market in the UK. You will represent MX in the market and help brokers access specialist solutions backed by strong technical expertise.

The role focuses on building broker relationships across the Midlands, North West, Yorkshire and North East, identifying new business opportunities,

Qualifications

Experience in commercial insurance underwriting, trading underwriting or broker development.
Strong knowledge of Commercial Combined, Property and/or Casualty risks.

Responsibilities

Building and strengthening broker relationships across the Midlands, North West, Yorkshire and North East.
Identifying and converting profitable new business opportunities within target markets.
Underwriting and negotiating Commercial Combined, Property and Casualty risks within authority levels.
Representing MX at broker meetings, networking events and industry functions.
Providing technical expertise and solutions for complex or specialist risks.
Working with colleagues across the business to deliver excellent broker service and portfolio growth.
