NFU Mutual is seeking a Development Underwriter to drive new mid-market commercial opportunities in property and liability. This field-based role covers the South West, with travel 2–3 days weekly to visit clients and support the Agency Network and Sales teams.

You will underwrite your own caseload and provide technical guidance on underwriting strategy. The role expects strong relationship skills, a track record in development underwriting, and a Dip CII or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience in mid-market commercial underwriting for property and liability risks.
• Proven ability to build and manage client relationships.
• Able to lead discussions with integrity and influence decisions.

Responsabilités

• Identify and win new mid-market business in the South West region.
• Support development of pipelines with NFU Mutual Agency Network and Sales teams.
• Underwrite own personal caseload and provide technical leadership on underwriting strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-divisional teams to identify opportunities and improve risk selection.
