NFU Mutual in the United Kingdom invites applications for a Development Underwriter to drive new mid-market business across property and liability. You will work with the Sales Force and Service Centre to grow gross written premium, developing pipelines, visiting clients, and underwriting your own caseload.

The role requires extensive new business experience, relationship leadership, and ability to provide technical direction on underwriting strategy and risk appetite.

Qualifications

• Property & Liability mid-market underwriting experience.
• Strong relationship-building skills with clients and partners.
• Ability to lead discussions with integrity and influence decisions.

Responsabilités

• Identify and acquire new mid-market business (property and liability) with GWP growth.
• Develop pipelines with Agency Network and Sales teams; attend client visits.
• Provide underwriting guidance on NFU Mutual strategy, risk appetite and customer service.
• Collaborate with cross-divisional teams to identify new mid-market opportunities.
• Home-based role; travel 2–3 days per week in the South West.
