Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Technical Director/Director with a development transport planning background to drive growth in Leeds and nationally. You will lead multi-disciplinary bids, provide technical leadership, and nurture client relationships with public and private sector bodies.

Join a well-established team delivering development and masterplanning projects, with a track record of winning work and coordinating across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in transport planning or civil engineering.
• Chartered status.
• Commercial and strategic capability with proven work winning.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with leadership and management experience.
• Proven track record of identifying and delivering new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow market share for the Development team.
• Set growth targets with Regional Director and local office lead.
• Build trusted relationships with public and private sector clients and stakeholders.
• Provide technical advice through planning and design processes.
• Lead and support bids, reviewing submissions and adding value.
• Act as Project Director for major projects and strategic commissions.
• Support SHEQ and corporate responsibility across the team.
