Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Manchester seeks a Technical Director/Director with development transport planning expertise to drive growth and client engagement in the UK region. You will lead market strategy, deliver multi-disciplinary projects, and manage major bids while shaping the Development team’s direction.

You will win new work with public and private clients, provide strategic advice, and guide teams through planning and design processes, maintaining WSP’s standards and values.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in transport planning or civil engineering.
• Chartered status.
• Commercial and strategic capability with a demonstrable track record in new business opportunities.
• Strong interpersonal leadership and management experience with work winning.
• Broad range of relevant project experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and grow market share.
• Lead bids and coordinate multi-disciplinary tender submissions.
• Act as Project Director for major commissions and strategic tasks.
• Provide technical leadership and client-facing guidance on planning and design.
• Support SHEQ compliance and promote best practices across the team.
