Liverpool City Council is seeking a Head of Development Management to lead Strategic Projects and Major Planning Applications in Liverpool. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality developments, coordinating cross‑team efforts and advising senior managers within City Development.

You will work with partners and steer planning strategy to support growth, housing and employment while shaping the city’s built environment.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and manage strategic projects and major applications within the Planning Teams, delivering from submission through negotiation to implementation.
• Drive delivery of high‑quality developments across Liverpool and provide advice to senior managers within the City Development directorate.
• Collaborate with partners including Regeneration, the Combined Authority and Homes England to align with council objectives and national priorities.
• Lead the Strategic Projects and Major Applications teams and represent the function at Planning Committee and other meetings.
• Engage with developers to secure quality development and meet growth ambitions for the city, with input into land use allocations and policy development.
