Liverpool City Council is seeking a Head of Development Management to lead Strategic Projects and Major Planning Applications in Liverpool. You will oversee delivery across planning teams, negotiate complex schemes and work with partner organisations to advance the council’s growth agenda.

This senior role requires strategic oversight, strong leadership, and collaborative engagement with council colleagues and external stakeholders to shape a high-quality built environment for the city.

Responsabilités

• Lead the co-ordination of strategic projects and major applications across Planning Teams.
• Drive the delivery of planning applications from submission through negotiation to implementation.
• Collaborate with City Development directorate and key partners such as the Combined Authority and Homes England to meet city growth needs.
• Provide advice and support to senior managers and deputise at key meetings as required.
• Take responsibility for Strategic Projects and Major applications at Planning Committee and other meetings with editorial input for reports.
