Job summary

AECOM in St Albans is seeking aSenior Infrastructure Engineer with a highways and drainage focus to join our Development Infrastructure Team. You will lead civil engineering projects, delivering technical solutions from feasibility through construction support, with liaison to regulators and stakeholders.

The role offers a flexible hybrid working model, development pathways through AECOM University, and involvement in diverse projects across residential, commercial and infrastructure sectors.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree required; BEng or MEng.
• Experience delivering highways and drainage design for residential/commercial schemes.
• Proficient in InfoDrainage, AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS; interest in AI solutions welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical and digital delivery of civil engineering projects.
• Prepare and review survey specifications and studies for development schemes.
• Coordinate design work across drainage, highways, utilities, earthworks and flood risk.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies to secure approvals and ensure compliance.
• Contribute to bids, attend meetings and clearly present technical solutions.
