Thistle Seafoods is looking for a Development Chef to join our NPD team. The successful candidate will work as part of a team focused on creating and developing new market-ready products for current and new customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Developing new viable market-ready products in line with current market trends.
2. Presenting and demonstrating new products to existing and new customers.
3. Maintaining all relevant paperwork.
4. Contributing to the overall commercial strategy and growth of the business.
5. Performing ad hoc duties to ensure the NPD kitchen runs effectively.

Candidates must be creative and innovative thinkers, with a sound understanding of consumer trends, capable of presenting ideas and products to customers. They should be able to translate product concepts into factory processes and work cross-functionally with other departments.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a kitchen or in product development is required, along with an understanding of ingredients and nutrition.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
