Job summary

Spinwell Global is recruiting for a Detention Engagement Officer for a 6-month contract in Strathaven. The role focuses on engaging with residents face-to-face, conducting inductions, carrying out assessments, and managing vulnerability indicators in line with policy.

You will regularly interact with IRC suppliers and stakeholders, update case records, and contribute to management reports while handling office administration tasks and phone communications.

• Giving case updates and managing a portfolio of residents.
• Recording interactions accurately on IT systems in a timely manner and provide feedback to caseworkers.
• Contributing to management reports and undertaking office administration duties such as inbox management and taking phone calls.
• Flagging issues appropriately and in a timely manner to management or other appropriate departments.

Spinwell is recruiting for a Detention Engagement Officer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DETENTION ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

You will also be accountable for a variety of tasks to ensure effective communication and engagement with residents, as below:

• Conducting face-to-face engagements, including inductions and assessments
• Discussing options and the consequences of non-compliance with residents
• Identifying and managing vulnerability indicators, ensuring that they are recorded and managed in-line with policy
• Engaging regularly with IRC suppliers and stakeholders

• Personal safety trained to level 2, spear training

There is no public transport supporting this location and therefore the worker will need to drive. This is an old manor house, there are no lifts, so worker would be required to use the stairs several times a day.
