Job summary

Outsource UK are recruiting on behalf of Exolum for a Despatch Clerk at Seal Sands. You will coordinate product movements, process weighbridge documentation and maintain accurate records in a busy terminal environment.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the role requires attention to detail, good IT skills and the ability to work 4 on 4 off shifts (6am–6pm / 6pm–6am). This permanent position offers a total package of around £42,253.39 per year.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months' experience in an administrative, weighbridge, despatcher, logistics, operational or industrial environment.
• Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with drivers, customers and colleagues.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process weighbridge documentation and tickets.
• Control the release of product through client order management systems.
• Ensure no product is released without the correct authorisation and documentation.
• Coordinate the acceptance of incoming product in line with client instructions.
• Maintain accurate stock records and operational data within terminal systems.
• Ensure drivers complete all required documentation on arrival and departure.
• Verify transport paperwork before vehicles leave the terminal.
• Liaise with customers, customer service teams and terminal personnel to resolve operational queries.
• Ensure all operating procedures, quality standards and compliance requirements are followed.
• Support the terminal's safety, environmental and emergency procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised and professional working environment.
