Job summary

HRGO Recruitment Eastbourne is seeking a highly organised Production Operative to join the busy Despatch Department. You will process a high volume of customer shipments, coordinate with external warehouse partners, and liaise with internal Customer Service to ensure accurate order fulfilment.

Initial training lasts about three months with a 7:00am-4:00pm schedule, after which a rotating triple-shift pattern is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in production, despatch, logistics or similar environment.
• Strong computer literacy and confidence using business systems and MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to process high volumes of information and shipments.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive and positive approach; able to learn new systems.
• Adaptable and able to work in evolving processes; strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage a high volume of daily customer shipments.
• Coordinate communications with external warehouse partners via email.
• Liaise with internal Customer Service teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Ensure shipments are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and update computer systems.
• Use business systems and MS Office to manage shipment information.
• Identify and resolve issues relating to shipments and order fulfilment.
• Support continuous improvement within Despatch and company processes.
• Adapt to changes in systems and working practices; collaborate across the business.
• Meet deadlines and maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
