Job summary

Dextra Group Plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a Warehouse Despatch Operative to support despatch operations in the Despatch Warehouse. You will receive and check deliveries, sign them off, and ensure accurate stock movement and palletisation for dispatch.

The role requires safe operation of MHE, adherence to quality standards, and ability to work as part of a team while maintaining tidy, organized procedures. Training modules will be undertaken for all duties.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, and sign off supplier deliveries.
• Inspect and report damages or discrepancies; photograph when needed.
• Use MHE safely and proficiently.
• Label, store, and record goods on GRN or stock transfer sheets.
• Palletise and pack goods; load vehicles for transport.
• Follow QA guidelines per ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001.

Job description

Dextra Group Plc. is the largest privately owned lighting manufacturer in the UK. Trading for nearly 50 years, our commitment to total service, and in continuous investment, enables us to be at the cutting edge of luminaire development whilst remaining competitive, efficient and client focused.
The Logistics Departments of Dextra Group plc. deal with all incoming raw materials into the Company, distribute to the various units around the site and dispatch all finished goods on our own fleet of lorries throughout the UK and EU.
This position will predominately be based within the Despatch Warehouse.

• To receive, check, and sign off suppliers deliveries.
• To define damages / discrepancies, photograph and report as necessary.
• Inspect and use MHE in a safe and proficient manner at all times.
• Check and suitability label received goods before storage.
• Store product in a suitable location & record all details on a GRN or stock transfer sheet.
• Adhere to correct stock rotation.
• Clear all vehicle beds, process pallets, shrink-wrap and rubbish.
• Check return goods against driver’s paperwork, note discrepancies, palletise product and process as per returns procedure.
• Operate shunting vehicles on completion of the appropriate training (B, C1 or C licences).
• Process finished goods into the despatch department.
• Pick, pack, label and palletise goods for transportation via own transport or third party logistics.
• Safely load vehicles using the correct MHE supplied to the loading plan of the driver.
• Deal with customers, collecting in a polite and professional manner.
• Adhere to company quarantine systems.
• To deal with all aspects of re-cycling on the site including the use of the cardboard, shrink-wrap balers and compactors.
• To ensure workplace is kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Report any damages of MHE, infrastructure of facilities to a Supervisor.
• Follow the Quality Control guidelines set out by the Company.
• Carry out all procedures in line with the company’s ISO9001, 14001 and 18001 requirements

Logistics training modules will be undertaken in all of the above duties.
