Job summary

Computappoint Limited is seeking a driven Desktop Support Engineer to join their London office. You will be part of the IT support team delivering high-quality, responsive assistance to colleagues across the business.

You will handle first/second-line support, onboarding, device provisioning, asset management and meeting room tech, while contributing to documentation and knowledge sharing. Occasional travel to other offices is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows device build, support and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Entra ID and AD user management.
• Experience with Intune and MDM.
• Strong Microsoft 365 administration skills.
• Knowledge of Teams Calling and 8x8 telephony solutions.
• Understanding of web filtering, DLP, antivirus, and SSO.
• Excellent documentation and knowledge-sharing abilities.
• Proactive learner with desire to grow in IT support.
• Experience supporting Power BI and Power Platform is a plus.
• Scripting with PowerShell for centralized management.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line and second-line desktop support.

Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is seeking a driven Desktop Support Engineer to join their talented team, providing first-class support from their London office.

In this role, you’ll be a key member of the IT support team, delivering high-quality, responsive assistance to colleagues across the business. This is a highly visible role where your technical expertise and customer-focused mindset will have a real impact.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing first-line and second-line support across the end-user technology environment


• Supporting inductions, onboarding, and training for new joiners


• Configuring, deploying, and maintaining laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals


• Managing assets and ensuring devices are secure, up to date, and ready for use


• Supporting meetings, webinars, and meeting room technology


• Maintaining documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles


• Participating in IT drop-in days and an out-of-hours support rota


• Assisting with network testing, patching, cabling, and office IT management


• Learning and supporting innovative technologies as the business evolves


• Occasional travel to other offices (once or twice per month)

Essential experience and skills:

• Strong knowledge of Windows device build, support, and troubleshooting


• Entra ID and Active Directory user management


• Intune and mobile device management


• Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive)


• Knowledge of Teams Calling and 8×8 telephony solutions


• Familiarity with web filtering, DLP, antivirus, and SSO technologies
