Job summary

Polypipe Building Products in Doncaster is seeking a Desk-Based Account Manager to manage a portfolio of builders’ merchant customers. You will drive sales, upsell product ranges, and build long-term relationships with key contacts while working with field sales, marketing, and internal teams to deliver promotions and revenue growth.

You will support reporting, CRM updates, and campaign execution, ensuring timely responses and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a sales or account management role, ideally within construction, building supplies, or a related B2B environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills via phone, email, and virtual platforms.
• Ability to analyse data and use CRM tools to track performance and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a structured call plan to proactively engage with builders’ merchant accounts.
• Drive sales and support revenue growth through upselling and introducing new product ranges.
• Work towards monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets aligned to the commercial strategy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts across the customer portfolio.
• Promote and coordinate marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives with customers.
