Job summary

Halfords Group PLC is seeking a Designate Centre Manager for Wakefield, West Yorkshire. You will support local Autocentres, lead in-centre teams with energy, and drive a culture focused on exceptional customer journeys.

The role requires strong leadership, customer focus, coaching, and financial acumen to manage KPIs, safety standards, and sales targets across centres within travel distance.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in automotive or similar industry.
• Experience delivering high customer satisfaction and effective management.
• Coaching-based approach to team development and training.
• Strong financial acumen with experience of managing P&L and optimizing profit.
• Experience meeting Health & Safety compliance standards.
• Experience with high sales turnover and KPI management.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• IT proficiency and willingness to learn in-house systems.
• Good time management.
• A current valid driving licence.

A newly created role within our Autocentre business, our Designate centre managers will be a vital support to our management team. As a Designate centre manager, you will be supporting local centres within the area within a reasonable travel time and leading the in centre teams with support, encouragement, and motivation. No two days are the same so you will need to be open to change, adaptable, and ensure that the team are on board and motivated to constantly move forwards with the everchanging environment that adapts to meet our customers’ needs and demands. This experience will set you up to successfully run your own allocated centre when an appropriate vacancy arises.

• On-target earnings up to £51,600
• Comprising a base salary of £37,500 - £40,000
