Job summary

Unique School Solutions are supporting a secondary school in the S10 area of Sheffield to appoint a Design Technology Technician. The role involves preparing materials, setting up equipment, and supporting teachers with lesson preparation in a busy workshop environment.

The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of workshop health and safety, experience in a school or similar setting, and the ability to work under the direction of the class teacher while using initiative.

Qualifications

• S1HS Woodsawing Machines Health & Safety Training.
• Previous experience working within a school or similar setting.
• Excellent knowledge of workshop health and safety.
• Experience of monitoring and ordering DT equipment.
• Experience of preparing DT equipment for classrooms.
• The ability to build rapport with young learners.
• The ability to work under the direction of the class teacher as well as using own initiative.

Responsibilities
