Job summary

All Saints' Church of England Academy in Wyke Regis is seeking a part-time D&T Technician (18.25 hours per week, term time only). You will join the Design & Technology department to help pupils enjoy creative, hands-on learning in a safe and well-organised environment.

You will prepare and set up materials and equipment for practical lessons, support teachers and students during sessions, and assist with safe equipment handling and basic repairs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up materials, workshops and equipment for practical lessons.
• Support teachers and pupils during lessons with materials, practical lessons and demonstrations.
• Maintain and undertake basic repairs to apparatus, machinery and equipment or arranging repairs by approved contractors.
• Help maintain a safe working environment, including routine equipment checks, COSHH checklists and risk assessments.
• Order and organise materials and resources for the department.
• Provide general administrative and technical support to the department.
• Undertake basic First Aid training.
