Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an experienced Design Technology Technician for a Sefton secondary school. The role is full-time with immediate start, supporting the Design Technology department and helping deliver safe, effective practical lessons.

You will prepare and maintain DT equipment, assist teachers and students, and ensure workshops meet health and safety standards. Prior school or educational setting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Design Technology equipment and machinery.
• Strong knowledge of workshop and machinery safety.
• Ability to manage stock and order materials when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and organise DT equipment and materials for lessons.
• Support teachers and students during practical lessons.
• Ensure workshops and equipment are safe, clean and ready for use.
• Maintain and check a wide range of Design Technology tools and machinery.
• Assist with practical work across resistant materials, woodwork and graphics.
