Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a secondary school in Chesterfield to appoint a full-time Design Technology Technician. The role involves supporting DT lessons, preparing materials and equipment, and maintaining a safe, well-organised workshop.

The successful candidate will have relevant DT workshop experience, strong organisational skills and a proactive attitude to help lessons run smoothly and safely for students throughout the academic year.

Qualifications

• Health and safety qualification preferred but not essential.
• Experience working in a Design Technology, workshop or practical learning environment.
• Knowledge of safe working practices and equipment maintenance.
• Strong organisational skills.
• The ability to prepare materials and equipment for practical lessons.
• A reliable, proactive and flexible approach.
