Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming Rochdale secondary school to appoint a Design & Technology Teacher on a full-time, one-year contract starting this October.

The role suits an ECT or an experienced teacher, with the expectation to deliver KS3/KS4 lessons, plan engaging sessions, assess progress, and foster a positive learning environment. The school offers mentoring, induction for ECTs, and ongoing CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• QTS or is due to achieve Qualified Teacher Status.
• Open to both experienced teachers and ECTs.
• Experience teaching Design & Technology in a UK secondary school placement or role.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, practical Design & Technology lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Create a positive classroom environment where students are motivated to achieve.
• Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 and contribute to safeguarding and welfare of pupils.
