Job summary

GSL Education Hull Branch is seeking a Design & Technology Teacher to join a secondary school in Hull. This temporary, full-time role is term-time only, with a start date as soon as possible.

You will plan and deliver engaging D&T lessons, develop pupils' practical design skills, and maintain high standards of safety and behaviour in a busy workshop environment. Previous secondary experience and QTS are required.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge across Design & Technology.
• Experience teaching Design & Technology in a secondary school desirable.
• Willingness to provide an Enhanced DBS or have Update Service.
• CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps explained.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across the secondary curriculum.
• Encourage design thinking and practical problem solving.
• Provide differentiated activities for a range of abilities.
• Demonstrate safe use of tools, machinery and workshop equipment.
• Assess practical and written work and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe, organised classroom/workshop environment.
