Job summary

TeacherActive is assisting an OFSTED Outstanding mainstream secondary school in Hulme, Manchester to appoint a long-term, full-time DT Teacher with immediate start. You will plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons, maintain high standards of behaviour, and help students develop practical skills, creativity and subject knowledge.

You'll need QTS with a Design Technology specialism, UK secondary teaching experience across KS3/KS4, and excellent classroom management.

Qualifications

• QTS with a Design Technology specialism required for the role.
• Experience teaching Design Technology in a UK secondary school is essential.
• Experience teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is required.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills are expected.
• Strong subject knowledge with practical classroom skills is needed.
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach is welcomed.

Salary: £170 - £250 per day

The school is looking to take on a DT Teacher on a long-term, full-time basis with an immediate start. The successful DT Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Design Technology lessons, maintaining high standards of behaviour and supporting students to develop their practical skills, creativity and subject knowledge.

The successful DT Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Design Technology specialism, with ECTs also welcomed to apply
• Experience teaching Design Technology within a UK Secondary School
• Experience teaching across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management
• Strong subject knowledge and practical classroom skills
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach
