Job summary

Philosophy Education, Ltd. is recruiting a qualified Design and Technology teacher for a large Redbridge secondary school. You will teach resistant materials and product design to mixed-ability classes across KS3 and KS4, with an immediate start.

You will assess coursework, manage assessments, and contribute to the department alongside the Art and Design team. UK QTS is required, and the school aims to appoint as soon as possible.

Qualifications

A large secondary school in Redbridge are currently looking to appoint a qualified Design and Technology teacher to teach resistant materials and product design for an immediate start.

The Role

This role is a full-time teaching position in the school's Design and Technology department. You will be teaching mixed ability classes across both KS3 and KS4. Year 7 and year 8 classes follow a broad introduction to all Design and Technology subjects and your focus in these year groups will be to teach basic skills in Technology. From year 9, pupils opt to either complete BTEC Design and Technology or GCSE Product Design. You will be teaching across both courses again with a focus on wood work and resistant materials.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the teaching and learning, assessments and coursework towards examination. You will be joining an established team in the Art and Design department.
