Are you a creative and qualified Design & Technology teacher ready to inspire the next generation of makers, engineers, and problem-solvers?
We are seeking a passionate and skilled DT Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Bradford. You’ll be teaching in a modern, well-equipped department that values innovation, safety, and high standards. ️
Delivering engaging, practical lessons across the DT curriculum (Resistant Materials, Product Design, or Engineering specialism desirable).
Inspiring pupils to think critically, work creatively, and develop hands-on skills.
Planning and assessing in line with the national curriculum.
Maintaining a safe, productive learning environment – with proper use of all tools and machinery.
Contributing to wider school life, including clubs and curriculum enrichment.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it by summer 2025.
️ Up-to-date machine safety training and certification (e.g., for band saws, pillar drills, sanding machines).
Experience or strong interest in teaching DT at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
Strong understanding of workshop health and safety procedures.
️ Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration.
Modern DT facilities including CAD/CAM equipment and fully certified workshop tools.
